Verification of Enrollment (VOE)

PROCEDURE TO REQUEST A VERIFICATION OF ENROLLMENT

VOE/TEA POLICY (For Obtaining or Renewing a Driver's License)

Texas Education Agency (TEA) requires all students to request a Verification of Enrollment (VOE) to receive a Texas Driver's License from the district they were enrolled in during the previous semester of the request.

In order for a student to obtain a Verification Of Enrollment and Attendance Form (VOE/TEA Form) to obtain a driver's license, the student must be in attendance for 90% of the days the class was offered in the previous semester. For example, if the student is seeking a VOE/TEA Form for the Summer/Fall, issuance of the form will be based on attendance of each class in the previous spring semester.

How a NHS student must request a VOE:

1)   Student must sign up for a VOE in the front office before school, during their lunch period, or after school: OR Email SVandergriff@nisdtx.org

We do not take request over the phone.

2)  Return to the office 24 hours later with your student ID and sign and pick up your VOE from the front office.

3)   Take the VOE home for a parent/guardian to sign it.

A VOE is valid 30 days from the date the front office signs the form.
