All after-school activities canceled on March 2
Northwest ISD continues to closely monitor local weather based on projections of possible hail or other inclement conditions. Because of potential inclement weather that may cause unsafe driving conditions, all after-school activities slated for today, March 2, are canceled or will be rescheduled.
Event leaders will inform students and families of any rescheduled activities. The Northwest ISD Career Fair scheduled for today at Byron Nelson High School is included in these event postponements, and attendees will be informed of a new date in the coming days. For families of students who attend AlphaBEST, this after-school service will continue, though we strongly encourage you to pick up students as soon as possible.
We do not anticipate changes to dismissal procedures, though we encourage student drivers and families to drive cautiously. In the event of rain, please understand that campuses may have slower dismissal times than normal, and we appreciate your patience. If inclement weather does occur during dismissal, students may be sheltered in school buildings until the weather passes before being released.
Thank you for your continued partnership as we work together to ensure students and staff have a safe dismissal.
